Read Full ArticleThe G-Awards achieved a record turnout with 14 trophies presented (the highest number ever) and an attendance of 600 at the gala black tie and posh frocks dinner.
Two new awards for 2022 – for Rising Star and Machinery Supplier of the Year were added to the dozen from previous outings.
The glass G-22 trophies were presented by actor and comedian Hugh Dennis who entertained the crowd with his wry sense of humour before welcoming the winners up to the stage to be applauded by their peers.

Rising to challenges
“The winners this year were the ones who excelled themselves in the face of all the challenges that 2022 has sent,” added Higgin. “And every one of them deserves these trophies more than ever.”
Stellar takes New Product of the Year
Epwin Window Systems won New Product of the Year for its Stellar, the newly designed aluminium window and door system which is future-proofed for the more stringent regulations that will come into force over the coming years as the government continues its push towards net zero.
MD Clare Bailey said: “The strength of Stellar’s design is reflected in this award. It’s fantastic to see the efforts of the talented Epwin Window Systems’ teams recognised in this award. We are thrilled.”
Haffner scoops Machinery Supplier of the Year
Haffner, the machinery supplier, won Machinery Supplier of the Year. Matt Thomas, Haffner’s MD, said: “Winning an award is always noteworthy but to be the first winner in a new category is even more special. It means a lot to everyone in the team and it’s a tribute to the years of hard work and commitment from our team.”
Second time winner
AluK was rewarded for its efforts to support customers through the changes to part L of the building regulations with a second win in a row in the Customer Care Initiative of the Year category.
Troughout 2022, AluK made sure customers understood exactly what the changes would mean and gave them the tools they needed to comply across every market. Re-engineered products, dedicated customer forums, a comprehensive communications campaign and a whole raft of useful support including training, downloadable guides, videos and website content were all part of the package.
