Have Your Passports Ready For Better Product Info

Reynaers Aluminium has introduced DigiTrace, a digital product passport system, for all its products. DigiTrace provides instant access to performance, material and sustainability information via QR codes on each product.

This new system supports the need for clear, accessible product data, especially considering the golden thread initiative. By scanning the QR codes, users can instantly access detailed information about specific products.

DigiTrace is part of Reynaers’ commitment to seamless information sharing. It allows building owners, architects, and contractors to easily access and share system, technical, and performance data.

The information, exported from ReynaPro (Reynaers' software for calculation, order and production), includes additional certification and documentation, such as Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs), maintenance guides, warranties, and installation instructions. Stakeholders can add this information at any stage of the product's lifecycle. The QR code system also enables users to share feedback and flag issues.

Martin Boland, a technical support manager at Reynaers Aluminium UK says: “DigiTrace facilitates communication among stakeholders, including contractors and fabricators and supports end-of-life recycling with detailed material information. It is a significant step toward promoting product circularity and transparency in building design.”
